Welcome to Maître Beta, the beta reading program here at Roi Fainéant Press!

If you've ever asked yourself any of the following questions, this program was made for you:

  • What was I thinking when I started writing this?

  • Why doesn't this make sense?

  • Is my entire paragraph supposed to be one sentence?

 

 

The short answer is that we're not sure, the last one is probably no, but we can find out!

How it Works:

*You fill out the form below and submit it via email to roifaineantpress@gmail.com, along with your present WIP. Please put "beta" in the subject line for our organizational purposes, thank you!

*We take a look at what you've got, what you need, and we respond to you with an email letting you know how long it will take to get you what you need.

*You have a seat. It's been a long day. You're tired. Take a load off, pal. 

*We whip your work into shape and send it back to you, free of charge. That's right, free! A free whipping? In this economy? You've got it.

The Form:

*Your name (or pen name, whatever, however you'd like us to address you)
*The title, genre, and word count of your piece
*Are you looking for a full edit (grammar, context, structure, how it reads, feedback)?
*Are you looking for ideas (how to make it better, where to go from here)?
*Any other pertinent details you think we should know?

There you have it. We will keep this service up and running for as long as we can time-wise. If you like it, we may expand it to include other cool ways to connect and discuss your work. So, what are you waiting for?
